Biographical notesSamson Tilcock is listed in the 1882 Kelly's Directory for Hertfordshire, Wade's Mill, High Cross; Tilcock, Samson Baker (page 672-3). On their marriage certificate one of the witnesses is John Aldridge who is probably Eliza's brother (Christened 10 June 1821 at Stapleford). The other witness, Emma Aldridge, is thought to be her sister-in-law who married Nathaniel Aldridge (Christened Stapleford 10 June 1821), and who's maiden name was Emma Acres (married January-March 1840, Hertford Vol 6 page 635) |
