Biographical notes

Parents are thought to be John Edgar and Marrion McBlane. There are two entries for the birth of Mary Edgar. The first is dated 13/06/1804 and the parents JOHN EDGAR/MARRION MCBLAIN, Girvan. The second entry is dated 22/03/1806 and the parents JOHN EDGAR/MARRION MCBLANE, Girvan. The most likely explanation is that the first child did not survive and the name was then given to the next female born to the same parents.
