Biographical notes

All information about Susan comes from an entry in the 1841 Census where she is living with her husband John and son Thomas. John is listed as a widower in the 1851 Census and the BMD death entry for Susan is probably in the last quarter of 1841, although this entry has not been verified. Ther 1851 Census lists John as being born in Barnsley Gloucestershire, and it is possible that Susan was also Gloucestershire born as the 1841 Census indicates that she was not born in the census county of Glamorgan.
